David Sjeklocha, DVM

I'm very blessed to work in beef production. My appreciation for beef cattle was honed on my family's farm in Missouri and my goal in my career has been to help cattle and the people who care for them. Before returning to college at age 25, I was assistant manager of a small feedyard in Missouri. I earned my degrees from Kansas State University, and practiced in Nebraska for several years, where we had a cow-calf and equine referral practice, with some feedyard consulting. When I moved to Kansas, I worked as a feedyard consulting veterinarian for several years, and then went on staff for Cattle Empire, LLC, to manage animal health and animal welfare. In October, 2018, I joined Merck Animal Health as Technical Services Veterinarian. My passions are beef production, animal welfare and antimicrobial stewardship.
