Skin and ear disease represent a huge portion of presenting complaints for patients presented to a small animal practice. As illustrated by pet insurance companies each year, often 3 of the top 5 claims submitted fall under a dermatology category. Veterinarians must have a comfortable grasp on how to approach skin and ear disease to make wise and informed decisions on patient care. This presentation will discuss diagnostics used in veterinary dermatology and how to incorporate them into practice.
